Really bad web design
Now, I’m and SEO by trade, and although I know how important web design is and what a negative impact bad web design can have on the ROI of my campaigns, I do tend to leave my designers to it. After-all, they’re the specialists and I’m colourblind (to reds an greens) so I’m not really in the best position to comment on generic design.
Anyway, we had a team get together this morning where we got onto conversion rates and the like. It’s fair to say that thing got a bit heated and a few of the web design boys took the hump against the money-men - this happens quite a lot - lol. Something to do with the ego’s and grown up’s who should know better
After the meeting our lead design pinged me with a post about bad web design from the guys and girls over at London web designers DataDial (good web designers - lol). It certainly made me smile, and I have to say that even as an SEO I’d want to be having words with the designers of some of these sites, with the first one akin to having your eyes removed, painted neon yellow & pink and replaced without thought of the consequences - yes it really is that bad.
You can take a look at the post here: examples of really bad web design
There are a few more gems on there too, most of them involving horrific colours and extremely overcrowded design schemes.I wonder if Web King are still in business.
It’s not often you get to feast your eyes on such design atrocities. Enjoy!
