Beating Adwords Review

Weisheng Wu asked:

The majority of Internet marketers know about Google Adwords and its power to drive laser-targeted traffic for the products or services they created or are affiliated with. However, Adwords can cause high monthly advertising costs, especially for new and unprepared marketers who think they can make easy money with Pay-Per-Click advertising. Since Google uses very complex algorithms to determine the placement of advertisers’ ads and never reveals anything about their inner workings, only experienced Adwords marketers know how to get the most exposure for the least amount of money. Those who are making money through Adwords created their campaigns mainly based on their experience gained by years of struggling with Google.

With Google’s ever-changing system, even veteran marketers have to monitor the changes that may affect their existing campaigns, which has made it harder and harder to advertise on Google. Mastering the techniques to use Google Adwords to drive targeted traffic is already a popular Internet marketing topic on its own. There are many websites and publications out there that are solely devoted to teaching people how to get the most out of their Adwords campaigns.

In my opinion, ‘Beating Adwords’ is the most comprehensive Adwords guide published so far. What I like most is the practical and step-by-step approach shown in this eBook. ‘Beating Adwords’ clearly points out that organized advertising and commitment to sticking to the basics are essential to making decent money online. To make your online business a success, you have to put your advertising system on autopilot first. But this requires a lot of painstaking work, to be honest with you.

‘Beating Adwords’ is written by Kyle and Carson, two successful young online marketers who are also the respected owners of WealthyAffiliate.com. They know exactly how Google Adwords works, and they reveal the secrets behind Google’s complicated system by guiding readers step by step in creating Adwords campaigns.

‘Beating Adwords’ begins with an introduction to affiliate marketing and PPC advertising in section 1. Sections 2 and 3 offer an examination of Google Adwords and techniques to choose affiliate programs and to find profitable keywords. Sections 4 to 7 take a close look at Adwords optimization skills, including how to write effective ad copy that sells, how to group relevant keywords, techniques to obtain a high Quality Score, advanced bidding strategies, and dynamic keyword insertion, to name just a few.

You may have heard that Google changed their ad ranking and relevancy algorithms not long ago, which has affected advertisers worldwide. The most common effect is with regard to minimum bid prices that skyrocket to ridiculously high. To help advertisers get their campaigns back to normal, ‘Beating Adwords’ devotes the entire section 8 to creating relevant landing pages with enough keyword density. With web page optimization skills, advertisers can stay ahead of the competition by getting maximum exposure for the least amount of money.

Staying focused and organized is the most important, yet most challenging, aspect of growing an affiliate marketing business. ‘Beating Adwords’ is a powerful library of Adwords information with no confusing fancy jargon. It will keep advertisers on the right track, points them to the right direction, and goes all the way till they start making money online. I’m sure not only Internet advertising beginners will benefit from the secrets unveiled in this eBook, experienced marketers will also gain an insight into Google Adwords using the advanced tips contained in it. I have benefited a lot from Beating Adwords. And I’m sure that it will help advertisers dramatically in their efforts to win in the highly competitive affiliate marketing business.

AdWords Account Suspended | SEO Traffic Spider

Posted by – January 17, 2008

Seo Traffic Spider asked:

In the last couple of days many Google AdWords accounts have been suspended. Most of the AdWords customers are wondering as to why their accounts are suspended. All that the Google’s AdWords customer receives is an email from the Google AdWords Team stating that your account has been suspended and your advertisements will not run in Google. The reason being non compliance with Google’s terms of service and advertising policies. Have you received one such email from the Google’s Team?

These accounts that are suspended are mostly from customers who are either new to AdWords or have outsourced their AdWords Optimization to third parties to do so.

The problem faced in such situations creates a bad experience for the AdWords customers and an additional burden to Google AdWords reviewers. However, who is responsible for such things. Let’s take a closer look at each of these 2 cases and understand what happens and how problems can be prevented.

Many customers who are new to AdWords are unaware of Google’s Policies and Terms and Conditions that they need to adhere to while setting up their accounts. Google’s Help Center does provide all the necessary information for the new customers but many of them ignore it and just get started right away. They start with the AdWords account creation by creating the new campaigns, ad groups, and stuffing a huge list of keywords. The next thing that happens is a good amount of money is spent as a daily budget and then one fine day one is shocked with an email that their account is suspended.

On the other hand, many customers who want to use AdWords and do not know how to use it outsource it to third party providers. These providers are contacted through any project bidding site. There these customers post their requirements and set a budget that they think they can afford. Many of the providers bid on those projects. Some providers bid as low as $50 for a project that is worth $500. Looking at the affordable price many customers award these AdWords projects to these providers. End result, in most cases dissatisfaction!

After a few days the AdWords customer gets very disappointed and posts a negative remark against the provider in the project bidding system. And then after a few days their account also gets suspended.

So what would be the solution to prevent such situations from occurring? The solution lies in searching for a good provider who has the necessary credentials for optimizing an AdWords account.

Ask your provider if they are GAP certified? GAP stands for Google AdWords Professional. This certification is only awarded when a person writes an online exam and is well versed with the Google Policies and Terms and Conditions? Find out if your provider has any hands on experience in optimizing Google AdWords accounts? For how long has your provider been optimizing Google AdWords accounts? Has your provider hired any staff from Google? How will they go about optimizing the Google AdWords account? Most important of all is whether the provider offers to take a look at your account to understand what needs to be optimized or just jumps into the project to earn money regardless of the fact that the account needs an initial diagnosis and study.

You may also come across instances where your account is permanently suspended and even if you try opening a new account with different information, you are likely to get suspended again. The reason being Google having a well built out system to track the advertiser through various means.

So, in this scenario you will not be able to use Google paid advertising which could have got you that instant traffic and conversions. But don’t let this disappoint you. You still stand a good chance to advertise on Google – but this time it’s not AdWords but through organic search. Yes, this is one area where you can promote your website through SEO (search engine optimization) and show on top of the search results of Google.

There are unlimited opportunities waiting for you and it is up to you to decide if you want to cry over lost AdWords opportunity or to venture out for more opportunities using SEO and hitting on top of the search engines.

Most of us will always like to make the optimum use of our hard-earned money. But what is the use if you can’t reap the benefits of your investment. In most cases, low priced services do not offer the best quality. They are low priced because the quality is compromised. Hire the right person and pay the right price for your Google AdWords optimization and prevent your account from being suspended or if you are unable to advertise through AdWords, then have the best SEO Company to promote your website and rank you on top in the search engines.

The choice is now in your hands!

Adwords Strategies Part 2 Increasing Page Position

Posted by – December 17, 2007

T.J. asked:

AdWords Strategies to Increase Page Position

There are many AdWords strategies to consider however the purpose of this Article is to help you understand why it is important to have a high page position and what AdWords strategies you can implement to in order to obtain one. The while there are many reasons for you to obtain a high page position I will only concentrate one to for now as it is considered to be by many the most important. The reason that you want a high page position in Google AdWords is an obvious one for most; you want more traffic. Traffic leads to more sales. In other words the more traffic you have the more money you make. The more visible your AdWords ad is to the reader then the more clicks you are likely to get. In other words the less work a person has to do in order to see your add the better. If you AdWords Ad is in the first position Google’s search results the user looking for a product can more easily see your ad then if you were in the 10th position.

Google AdWords Quality Score

Google AdWords uses a quality score system to rate your ads keywords in relation to your overall campaign. The Quality score of Google AdWords is very important when considering page position and is directly related. Let me explain. The better your quality score the lower your cost per click will be, assuming that all other areas of your campaign are in unison with other AdWords quality score criteria. There are several determining factors to consider when trying to obtain a high quality score, however I will focus on two main factors for now that can have a dramatic effect on your quality score. The first determining factor is that of relevance. The more relevant you overall campaign is to your to the product or service you are selling is the better. You don’t want to have the keyword “meditation” if your advertisement says “AdWords Strategies” unless your selling meditation related products or services. The history of your campaign is also very important in determining your quality score. If you have had a bad campaign on a certain URL that you are using for a landing page in the past and you are struggling to increase your quality score, you may want to consider starting a new campaign with a new URL.

The “Pay Over” Strategy

Another AdWords strategy for those that have money to spare is one of the most obvious. For this AdWords strategy what you are going to do is outbid your competitor. However your are not just going to bid the going rate. You are going to bid well over the highest rate. By doing this you are accomplishing three things. First of all in most cases you are going to be in the number one page position on Google. Secondly You are going to increases the bid for your competitors. Additionally you will be making it harder for your competitors to compete with you, and possible have them drop out of the competition for your keyword or keywords all together. Now you are not going to keep your bid over the highest suggested price for too long. Once you see your competitors drop out of the competition you can go ahead and reduce your bid, while still obtaining the highest page position.

Conclusion

In conclusion page position is arguably one of the most important factors to consider when starting an advertising campaign with Google AdWords. The higher your page position is the more visible your AdWords ad is, which ultimately can translate into more clicks, which in turn can mean more sales. There are many things you can do to increase your page position however some of the easiest and most effective are improving your quality score and paying more than your competitor. Overall, implementing AdWords strategies can be lot of work and takes focus and determination, however in the end it’s worth it.

Adwords Tips for PPC Profitability – Part 1

Posted by – December 11, 2007

Paul Goodwyn asked:

There are many PPC search engines to choose from both large and small concerning general and specific topics of interest. There are so many search engines some setup purely for shopping related websites others for business, travel, hobby related and practically any other topic of user interest.

However, if you are interested in making money online the Adwords tip of the day is don’t go past Google. Their Adwords program is without doubt the most sophisticated advertising platform obtainable today. Others are also there, but if you can work with Adwords you can work within any platform.

Adwords offers may features and benefits that place them at number one on the search engine list. They have an extremely efficient system that will bring in hordes of highly targeted traffic to your product or service. You can select highly specific keywords, make complex changes to your ad copy and sales presentation, research test and track your campaigns quickly. With the right Adwords tips it is a terrific method to generate huge sums of money and profit online.

Adwords tips used by professional advertisers must be adopted if you want to run a profitable campaign. Some Adwords tips will assist in improving your click through rate, while other Adwords tips will help your ad copy hit the spot. This article can only cover a few simple concepts but for a complete list refer to “The Adwords Navigator Adwords Tips Manual” by Paul Goodwyn.

Following any the of the Adwords tips below becomes an extremely powerful way to locate a highly targeted class of visitor. You want this type of visitor because they are buyers not tire kickers resulting in an increase to your traffic and bottom line profits.

Adwords Tips 1

Always target your campaign to the right market. For example, if you have a fresh bread shop there would not be any point in setting up a general campaign that targets all countries. Your first priority would be to concentrate on your local market, so use geo targeting.

This Adwords tip can be applied in many other ways when setting up your campaign. To start with be aware to target your visitor correctly. You can achieve this at the keyword, adcopy, landing page, subgroup, niche and market level. This Adwords tip is always overlooked not only by beginner and intermediate marketers, but also by so called experts that write on this subject.

Adwords Tips 2

There are so many variables that interact with one another that can affect your bottom line results when using PPC marketing, yet without doubt the most important is your keyword selection. The next Adwords tip is that if you want a profitable campaign never select keywords whimsically. Find very targeted keywords for your product this will bring in good buying traffic.

The best product in the world will not sell if you present it to the wrong type of buyer. For example, if you love Hawaiian shirts and sincerely believe the world would be a better place if everyone wore one, well… fine! But, don’t waste your time trying to sell them to Eskimo’s. Similarly, if you are a butcher don’t waste money trying to convince vegetarians on your local commune to buy a steak. Got the idea!

Your keyword selection is critical and will have a great influence on your success or failure. Highly targeted keywords have the effect of putting your ad copy in front of the right type of person while, at the same time improving the standing of your campaign in the robotic eyes of the search engines.

To take this Adwords tip further, follow the old adage not to put all your eggs in one basket needs to be applied. This is critical and probably the biggest mistake new marketers make. One ad group packed full of keywords will not bring in enough visitors. You may think you have covered all the possibilities but Google Adwords doesn’t work like that.

Adwords will find a few keywords that are suitable for your ad and as their quality score grows the rest of the keywords practically don’t exist anymore and will not perform. So the Adwords tips advice here is to not attempt to have one ad try to do the work for all your keywords. Ads should be designed to reflect the variegated qualities of your product or service.

To keep the length of this article to a reasonable size we will look at more Adwords tips in Part 2. Keep a look-out for “Adwords Tips For PPC Profitability - Part 2” where we will cover some over-looked tips that will generate $1000’s of dollars for your pay per click campaigns.

Beating Adwords - My Review of This Adwords Guide

Posted by – November 27, 2007

Eric Stein asked:

Anyone marketing online knows about Google Adwords, it is Google’s Pay-Per-Click advertising system that allows you to get your website listed at the top and side of search engines and on Google’s entire network of websites. You set a daily budget and the most you want to pay per click. After setting up your Adwords account your ads will appear within 30 minutes. This method is an instant way to get tons of target traffic. This sounds great, but what is the downside? Well, it costs money. You can bid as low as 10 cents for a click, but in many competitive markets you must bid 1-2 dollars to get enough traffic to matter. Imagine getting 100 hundred clicks, there goes a few hundred dollars. If you set up your account wrong you can waste hundreds of dollars within a few hours. However, if you know the secrets of Adwords marketing, you can capitalize, eliminate your competition and make a great return on investment. Some companies/marketers spend thousands of dollars a day on Adwords advertising! How can they afford this? Easy, they make more!

That is the most important thing for all people using pay-per-click advertising, you must make more money than you spend. This is also a golden business rule. After spending 10’s of thousands of dollars on Google Adwords advertising I knew there was a better, more efficient way to set up my account and make money online. I started looking for all the information I could find on the web and bought about 30 ebooks on the topic of Adwords. I read all the Guru’s books and know what works and what doesn’t. I put all of their techniques and philosophies to test and found 1 source that really did teach me how to make money online and taught me how to beat Adwords. I didn’t tell anyone about this until now because I didn’t want competition knowing my secrets, but really, it is a simple ebook. The information is Beating Adwords.

Beating Adwords explained to me everything about affiliate marketing and how to use this Adwords guide to start making serious cash online, working day and night, making me money all the time. I make money while I sleep, eat, run, workout, watch a movie, ride my bike, anything I choose to do, I am still making money. I never thought this day would come, but it has! The problem with most of the other Adwords information out there, is it is not written by people who have been successful with it, just people who know how to use it and maybe gathered a few tips here and there. Beating Adwords is the authorative guide to Adwords, nothing compares to this information. Why? Because it was written by 2 successful affiliate marketers, who know what they are doing, what works for them and makes them money. Do what they do and you will make what they make.

The techniques outlined in this ebook are focused on making every Adwords campaign a successful one. High click through rates, high conversion, how to write ad copy, choose profitable keywords and keyphrases, and most of all optimize your ads, which are tiny cash powerhouses when set up correctly. I wasted so much money over the years on Adwords. You may be like how I once was, or maybe you just started and don’t want to throw away your money. Whatever situation you are in, do not spend another dime on Adwords until you read this information.

It is great for newbies or advanced marketers, there is information in Beating Adwords for everyone. Anyone can start making money fast after they read this and implementing the ideas inside.

Jeff Spires asked:

Let me ask you, how would you like to be able to find out the exact phrase that the user typed in to the Google to find your ad? Well, let me tell you, Yes! you do want to know.

This Adwords Secrets Revealed trick is an absolute gold mine. Not only does it allow you to see the exact search query that the use used, but also, give you a huge list of new keywords and even more importantly, it gives you a huge list of negative keywords. Which can save you a fortune.

Before we begin with this Adwords Secrets Revealed, I want you to be aware that this article does not cover the basics of running a Google Adwords account. So for even more tips, tricks and killer Adwords secrets revealed, You can Download a FREE copy of my Adwords ebook - The Adwords Handbook:

www.secrets4adwords.com

OK guy, lets get stuck in:

This amazing Adwords tool is a feature that not many marketers are speaking about, in fact, I’ve not heard of any marketers speaking about it. But for those of you that know me, know that I much rather all of the Adwords Secrets were revealed. I, like you once had to struggle and find all of the secrets out the hard way, hopefully, by me showing you all of these Adwords Secrets, you wont have to go through that steep learning curve yourself.

Let get you set up.

This part is easy as pie. Just follow the step by step instructions below, and you can’t go wrong.

Login to your account

Select ‘Reports’ from the tabs near the top

Select ‘Create a new report’

OK, now that we’re inside, lets go deep :-)

Report Type - Select ‘Search query performance’.

Settings

Enter the specifics of how you want to track the search query. Let take a look at these in more detail:

Level of detail:

This section allows you to select which area you want to track. Adwords gives you four options. Ad, Ad Group, Campaign and Account. Depending on which option you choose, will determine which options you can select from drop down menus later in this section.

Note: I always separate my search network and content network in to different Adgroups. So for me, the best option here is ‘Ad Groups’, as I can focus on the Adwords Adgroups that are search network only. This allows me to run very targeted reports.

View (Unit of Time):

Simply, add the unit of time that you want to run your reports. I normally set this to

‘Daily’. But this will be determined by how you want to run your own campaign.

Date Range:

Select the date range that you want to view.

Campaigns and Ad Groups:

This is where it starts getting good. Adwords allows you to select whether you want to run the report for everything associated under the umbrella of the ‘Level of Detail (selected earlier)’. Or, even better than that, you have the option of selecting the exact campaign or Adgroup that you want to focus on. Once again, this depends on what option you selected within the ‘Level of Detail’ drop down menu. This is a great way of getting really targeted with your stat tracking.

Advanced Settings (Optional)

Add or Remove Columns:

This section basically allows you to select which areas of your Adwords campaign you want to view within the report. Simply check the columns that you want to use and deselect the columns that you don’t want to use.

Generally I tend to leave this option alone, as the default options are good enough.

Filter Your Results:

One of the things that I love about Googles Adwords is that they go out of there way to allow you to create your own customized setups, and this section really does give you complete control. In this section Adwords allows you to customize the exact criteria for your report. E.G - only show reports that have greater than 1000 impressions.

Here is a list of the following criteria:

Search Query

Ad Distribution

Ad Group Status

Campaign Status

Impressions

Clicks

CTR

Avg CPC

Cost

Avg Position

Google also allows you to select more than one filter, which means that you can have multiple filters per report. Simple click on ‘Add Another Restriction’ to add an additional filter.

Templates, Scheduling and Email

Name Your Report:

Simple, what do you want to call this report?

Template:

If you would like to save this as as new template then check the check box. A new template basically means that you can use this report to create another report of the back of it. E.G, you want to run the exact report but with one section different.

This can be very handy for quickly creating new reports.

Scheduling:

Adwords report Scheduling allows you to decide how often you want your new report to run. If you decide to check this option, then Adwords will give you three options - Every Day, Every Monday, First Day of Every Month. Once again, this allows you to create an even more targeted report.

Email:

For all of you who are busy and on the road a lot. why not get this report sent direct to your inbox. This feature for me is a must. I run so many campaign, the more automated it is, the better. Simply by checking this one check box will save you having to keep coming into account and search for the report. Adwords also give you the option of attaching the report to your email as a .xml, .cvs, .csv(for excel), .tsv and .html file type. Yet another great feature from the Adwords guys.

Once you have setup your report to be exactly as you like, click on the ‘Crete Report’ button to the bottom right of the screen. The will save your report, and will be instantly accessible from the ‘Main Reports’ section, where you will be able to come anytime and view the latest search query phrase tat your visitors are using.

So there you have it. yet another one of the Adwords Secrets Reveled. This one secret is a must for anyone who wants to make a profit with google. You need to be able to know what keyphrase are wasting you money. Once you find out, simply ad them as your negative keywords and start saving now.

Adwords Secrets - When to Use the Content Network

Posted by – July 17, 2007

Jeff Spires asked:

Hi Guys, in this article I want to take a look at the Google adwords content network system, and show you how to turn your wasted cash into pure profit.

Before we get started, I just want to point out that this article is for people who already understand the adwords system. So, If you don’t know much about adwords, or are at an intermediate level, then please download my FREE Adwords Ebook. This is a beginners step by step guild, with lots of killer tips, tricks and adwords secrets.

www.secrets4adwords.com

But First, let me explain a little bit about what the content network is before I start sharing the adwords secrets.

The Adwords Content Network is simply a way in which Google places your Adwords ad on to it’s partner websites. As you may or may not know, Google has millions of partner websites spanning just about every business industry that there is. Which means, if you turn your content network on (Explained later), then your Adwords ad will be in prime position for massive exposure. You could literally have you ad in for of tens of thousands of web users per day.

I know what your thinking “This is huge”. And yes you would be right in thinking that, but like all good things, there is a setback. And that simply is that IT DOES NOT WORK!.

Or so they say…

Let take a little look further in to this, before we look at the adwords secrets.

Depending on who it is that you are listening to, will depend on your beliefs sounding the whole ‘adwords content network’ argument. It’s no secret that for a long time now it’s been banded around the internet marketing world that adwords content network simply does not work. It’s only drives un-targeted traffic to your website and It almost impossible to get any real high conversions.

The reason being is based on pure psychology.

Think about it - If you was to use Googles Search Network (Google) and enter in your search query (what you are looking for). Then proceed to click on one of the Adwords ads that match your search query. Then the chances are that you are more likely to buy.

Confused?

Let me break this down.

You enter ‘videos on dog training lessons’. This means that you are looking for ‘videos on dog training lessons’. So, when an ad appears on the right hand side of google, and say ‘videos on dog training lessons’, then you click through and the landing page also has videos that you can buy on dog training lessons. Then the chances are very high that you will buy. Because you found what you were looking for.

Now, lets look at the content network. If you are randomly looking at a website to do with dog collars, and you see an ad for ‘videos on dog training lessons’, you might click through out of curiosity. But, you mindset i not is the same buying cycle as if your were to have actually search for the videos.

So in short, the Adwords content network will bring you lots of traffic, but hardly no converting traffic. Unless you know the adwords secrets.

As you can imagine, this is a problem. How can we as business owners turn all of this none converting traffic in to converting traffic? Thats the big question.

The answer is so simple, and I’ve been doing it for ages.

The Adwords Secrets Revealed:

Through out my marketing career, I have been fully aware that if you want to sell to people, you must first understand what they want. This is no secret, and a very obvious statement. However, it is still very much over looked.

Lets go back to the buying cycle.

If I search for a solution to my problem, and I find your website with the solution. Then I will buy from you. Because it will solve my problem.

If I randomly come across your website, then I wont be from you. BUT…

I WILL SIGN UP FOR A PRODUCT THAT I HAVE INTEREST IN !!!

It’s that simple!

Let take a look at the adwords secrets in a bit more depth.

The user is not in a position to buy from you there and then, but thats not to say that they never will buy from you. So make sure that you capture there contact details so you can market to them at a later date.

Send all of your content network traffic to a designated landing page, where you are not selling to them. Instead, capture their details by using a op-tin form (Name & Email), However, you must incentives them to give you their details, so offer them something of real value, and give it to them for FREE.

Once you have their contact details, you can then promote your product to them when ever you want. Next week, month or even year.

Like I said, I use these adwords secrets all the time and always get amazing results.

Just remember so separate your content network ads from your search network ads.

Is Adword Miracle a Scam – Full Product Review

Posted by – July 15, 2007
